Wipe off the mixture using a clean, dry washcloth. Let the mayonnaise and baking soda mixture sit in the water spotted area for a few hours. The baking soda helps activate the effects of the mayonnaise. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over the water spot, then sprinkle baking soda on top of it.
